CD Leycom's first product, the Sigma-5DF, was designed to support research into disorders of cardiac function poviding enriched hemodynamic information. It was the first of its kind and conceived back in the early 1980s by Professor J. Baan and his research team at LUMC. About 290 units have been distributed to research laboratories worldwide which has resulted in an impressive publication list. The conductance catheter technique is now recognised as the ‘gold standard' for analysis of left ventricular mechanical function. The Sigma 5DF is still actively used today and CD Leycom expects to extend this tradition with an ALL NEW PRESSURE-VOLUME loop platform which forms the basis for the new SIGMA-M©.
The SIGMA-M© is a SMD technology based modular electronic signal conditioner-processor, enabling continuous calibrated measurement of ventricular volume by means of a conductance catheter combined with real time measurement of pressure; a complete system for the study of cardiac function by pressure-volume loop analysis (PV-loops) in ANIMALS.
The Sigma-1SA was designed for murine studies as a plug and play, software controlled pressure-volume (PV-loop) measuring device. It has recently been upgraded to the Sigma-2SA©, which packs additional features making murine intracardiac studies easier. It is compatible with Millar Instruments and Scisense catheters. |
Sigma-M
The SIGMA-M©, successor to the Sigma-5DF, is a SMD technology based modular electronic signal conditioner-processor, enabling continuous calibrated measurement of ventricular volume combined with real time measurement of pressure; a complete system for the study of cardiac function by pressure-volume loop analysis. Special features: price:quality; hardware is software controlled; expandable; automatic calibration of pressure and volume. More information...

Catheters
Unlike conventional solid-state pressure sensor catheters, CD Leycom catheters are equipped with full-bridge silicone microchip transducers making them more stable and less susceptible to drift. Our catheter line hosts a variety of catheters across a broad size range, most have Market clearance for clinical use. More information...
Software
Conduct NT© controls your hardware and takes care of data acquisition and analysis (real-time) in a user-friendly fashion. The software is Windows based and features up to 60 variables that can be displayed in real-time. The user may choose from several views and even tailor the views to preference. Special features: dyssynchrony index per volume segment; automatic calibration of absolute volume without external validation. More information...
