The Cardiac Function Labaratory offers a simple, safe and effective method for the real-time, on-line operator independent acquisition and analysis of pressure and volume data directly from the ventricle. A catheter with an array of conductance electrodes and a high fidelity solid-state pressure sensor is placed in the ventricle. The catheter is connected to the CFL-512 console and real-time pressure and volume data from up the 7 segments (volume slices perpendicular to the long-axis) in the ventricle are displayed on screen. From the data, time varying changes in intra-ventricular pressure and volume can be followed on-line. Common indices of cardiac performance (SV, Ees, PRSW, +dP/dt, -dP/dt, Tau, etc) are shown as well as indices such as dyssynchrony. The CFL-512 is cleared to market for clinical use in Europe and the US.
